Black Ice

Now don't just say 'Yeukh!' - try it first!

You know how the soda bars serve up various fizzy drinks with an ice-cream float?  This is a grown-up take on the idea, and if you can bring yourself to have a go it's really quite nice.  At the very least, it  will make an interesting talking point at your next party . . .

Preparation Time: 2 minutes

Ingredients:

1 Bottle Black William

Scoop of good quality vanilla ice-cream

Method:

Chill the Black William, and pour into a suitable glass.  Drop the scoop of ice-cream into it and serve with a straw and a sundae spoon (so you can get all the nice bits out of the bottom of the glass).

You could also try making this with Merry Andrew.  However, exercise caution when experimenting with different flavours of ice-cream.  Since stout is such a good accompaniment to chocolate you'd think that chocolate ice-cream would work, but our tasting panel found that much less successful than vanilla.  Let us know if you find any other great combinations.
